My own journey in the pool industry began over 50 years ago. As a teenager, I spent my summers working alongside my father, learning the art of pool installation from the ground up. Over time, I immersed myself in every aspect of the business, from manufacturing to sales, gaining hands-on knowledge and expertise. In my mid-twenties, I took a leap and started my own pool company while continuing to work closely with my father. He often reminded me that the greatest lessons come not only from success but also from the challenges we face. These experiences shaped my understanding of both the business and the dedication required to achieve genuine success.
In the mid-1990s, my father decided to open a new factory in another state. He entrusted me with the Georgia factory he was leaving behind, giving me the opportunity to carry on the business he had built. It was a profound honor and a pivotal moment in my career. Taking on this responsibility marked the beginning of the company we proudly operate today.
Since then, I’ve worked tirelessly to expand and innovate upon the foundation my father created. Over the years, I’ve designed and introduced more than 20 new pool models to our collection, developed separate tanning ledges to enhance the pool experience, and elevated our manufacturing practices to new heights. Inspired by my father’s achievements, I’ve dedicated myself to building Tallman Pools into a company that’s bigger, better, and more forward-thinking than ever before.
Despite the growth and evolution of the company, one thing has never changed: my personal commitment to excellence. Whether I’m having meaningful conversations with homeowners, collaborating with our dealers and contractors, or overseeing production at the factory, I remain deeply involved in every aspect of the business. The factory itself feels like a second home to me, where I ensure that every pool meets our uncompromising standards before it begins its journey to your backyard.
